southern section of the western wall of the town, built using the Lesbian
structural system which is considered to be one of the oldest forms of

The second
western tower with the engraved inscriptions ΜΥΡΣΙΝΗ
ΑΛΚΕΒΙΑΔΟ and ΑΔΑΜΑΣ ΒΟΣΤΑΔΟΣ. The date
back to the 4th century B.C. and were obviously engraved in honor of
eminent citizens |

Aerial
view of the settlement surrounded by a wall towards the southwestern edge
of the town. It concerns a large district (50.5 x 46.5 m.), which is
protected by the wall on the western side. The other sides are
particularly well strengthened. Parallel and perpendicular roads separate
the district into a square construction according to the hippodameian
system. Shops, factories and houses have been identified. Structural
phases from the 5th to the 2nd century B.C. can be discerned |
